Revelation 21:1-7

1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.

2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.

4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.

5 Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."

6 And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.

7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.

I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.

When Christ returns, the church is like a city that is compact together, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. At that time, all things were made new, and cannot be better. Today, we are all preparing - by knowing our gifts in the body of Christ, ensuring that each is at his post and each to his service, and serving each other in the body, so that the body of Christ grows into a dwelling place of God through the Spirit. Praise God, He is Emanuel who shall dwell with men; praise God, He makes all things new, we will rejoice and be happy in eternity; praise God, He is "I am who I am", He is the author and finisher; praise God, whoever drinks from His fountain of water of life will never thirst again; praise God, He is our God, we are His sons! Dear brothers, sisters and friends, we have finally come to the last day of the month of praise. Let us farewell 2014 and welcome 2015 in praise. May we encourage each other in the new year to live out Christ, because Christ is all and in all!

Revelation 5:6-14

6 And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

7 Then He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.

8 Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

9 And they sang a new song, saying:
      "You are worthy to take the scroll,
      And to open its seals;
      For You were slain,
      And have redeemed us to God by Your blood
      Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

10 And have made us kings and priests to our God,
      And we shall reign on the earth."

11 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands,

12 saying with a loud voice:
      "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
      To receive power and riches and wisdom,
      And strength and honor and glory and blessing!"

13 And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:
      "Blessing and honor and glory and power
      Be to Him who sits on the throne,
      And to the Lamb, forever and ever!"

14 Then the four living creatures said, "Amen!" And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever.

And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: "Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever!"

The scripture yesterday depicted the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders as worshiping and praising God the Father, giving glory, honor, thanks and power to Him. In today's scripture, Messiah appeared as Lamb to receive the worship and praise of the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders, with angels and all creations giving power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing to Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb. Here, God has set Christ as head over all things. The Lamb has the seven Spirits of God, just like Him who sits on the throne. They are of the same glory and the same honor! Praise God, Christ has redeemed us by His blood to become a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own special people; praise God, worth is the Lamb to receive all glory, honor, thanks and power; praise God, Christ is all and in all!

Revelation 4:1-11

1 After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, "Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this."

2 Immediately I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne.

3 And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.

4 Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads.

5 And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

6 Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.

7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.

8 The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying:
      "Holy, holy, holy,
      Lord God Almighty,
      Who was and is and is to come!"

9 Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever,

10 the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:

11 "You are worthy, O Lord,
      To receive glory and honor and power;
      For You created all things,
      And by Your will they exist and were created."

"You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created."

讚美神,從亙古到永遠,祂是神;讚美神,祂造萬物,各按其時,成為美好;讚美神,祂配得榮耀、尊貴、權柄!The apostle John saw God's throne in a vision. In the presence of God, what the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders do is to worship and praise God. Now that Christ has put to death the enmity through the cross, and consecrated for us a new and living way to the Most Holy, that we can come boldly before God's throne of grace to pray, being in front of God, we should worship and praise Him all the more. When we are in heaven in the future, we will also join this procession of worship and praise, to give glory and honor and thanks to God! Praise God, from everlasting to everlasting, You are God; praise God, He has made everything beautiful in its time; praise God, He is worthy to receive glory, honor and power!

1 Praise the LORD!

      Praise God in His sanctuary;
      Praise Him in His mighty firmament!

2 Praise Him for His mighty acts;
      Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!

3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;
      Praise Him with the lute and harp!

4 Praise Him with timbrel and dance;
      Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!

5 Praise Him with loud cymbals;
      Praise Him with clashing cymbals!

6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.

      Praise the LORD!

Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!

Psalm ends in the climax of rolls of praises, with all kinds of instruments praise together in harmony. The psalmist expressed an outpouring of exhortation after seeing God's amazing creation, experiencing God's precious salvation, and understanding God's great plan. Let us also join the procession of praise of the LORD immediately, thanking Him for what He did, praising Him for who He is, and enjoying His presence! Praise God, my soul blesses Him, and all that is within me shall bless His holy name; praise God, He is the King of kings, and the Lord of lords, no other gods can compare with Him; praise God, His mercy is high as the heavens, His faithfulness reaches to the sky, His love toward us endures forever; praise God, let everything that has breadth praise the LORD!

Psalm 149:1-9

      向耶和華唱新歌,
      在聖民的會中讚美祂!

2以色列因造他的主歡喜;
      願錫安的民因他們的王快樂。

1 Praise the LORD!

      Sing to the LORD a new song,
      And His praise in the assembly of saints.

2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
      Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

3 Let them praise His name with the dance;
      Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.

4 For the LORD takes pleasure in His people;
      He will beautify the humble with salvation.

5 Let the saints be joyful in glory;
      Let them sing aloud on their beds.

6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
      And a two-edged sword in their hand,

7 To execute vengeance on the nations,
      And punishments on the peoples;

8 To bind their kings with chains,br />       And their nobles with fetters of iron;

9 To execute on them the written judgment -
      This honor have all His saints.

      Praise the LORD!

Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, and His praise in the assembly of saints.

All sinners saved by grace shall delight themselves in the LORD, rejoice and praise God. In the past, Jehoshaphat's army used praise as weapons of warfare to defeat strong enemies; today, God's people should also boast victory before the enemy with praise, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Praise God, we rejoice over the salvation He gave, our praises never cease day and night; praise God, His word is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, we should praise Him according to the word that He gave; praise God, Christ has overcome the world, we are more than conquerors in Christ; praise God, our life is hidden with Christ in God, when Christ appears, we also will appear with Him in glory, and judge the world together!

Colossians 3:1-4,10-11

1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.

2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,

11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

When we were born again and saved, a new life is in us. This life needs to grow, until it achieves the full measure and stature of Christ. Paul said, "It is no longer I who live, but Christ in me." Christ is our life, and no matter what race we came from, what status we had, we are all little Christs now. Let us set our mind on things above, press on for spiritual growth, and walk well the path of sanctification! Praise God, He has begotten us again in Christ, so our life is hidden with Christ in God; praise God, He gave us Christ as our life, so we should live out Christ in the body; praise God, He caused our new life to continue to grow, into Christ who is the head, into a holy temple dwelt by God in Spirit; praise God, at the fullness of times, He gathers together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth - in Him: Christ is all and in all!

Colossians 1:12-22

13 祂救了我們脫離黑暗的權勢,把我們遷到祂愛子的國裏;

21 你們從前與 神隔絕,因著惡行,心裏與祂為敵;

12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.

13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,

20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled

22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight -

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.
He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.

Christ is the center of all of God's will! Christ is the Lord of creation, for all things are created by Him, through Him and for Him; and in Him all things consist. Christ is the Lord of the church, is head of the body, the church, that in all things He has the preeminence. Christ is the Lord of salvation, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, the conveyance into His kingdom, and in whom we were reconciled to Himself together with all things. Praise God, for of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Praise God, who put all things under Christ's feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Praise God, in the Beloved we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins; we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, and having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. Praise God, at the fullness of the times He gathers together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth - in Him; in Him also we have obtained an inheritance! Dear brothers and sisters, the theme for our church in 2015 is "Christ is all and in all". With the help of the Holy Spirit, let us truly know Him together, and truly practice abiding in Christ!

8 你們雖然沒有見過祂,卻是愛祂;如今雖不得看見,卻因信祂就有說不出來、滿有榮光的大喜樂;

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,

5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials,

7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

8 whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,

9 receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

That the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Peter told us, since we were begotten through Christ, we hope for an incorruptible inheritance, and for the salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Even with lots of trials, even though we do not see Him, we still have glorious joy, for our faith may be found genuine! Praise God, He is El Shaddai, who resurrected from death with almighty power, and overcame the power of death; praise God, He is Emmanuel, who have begotten us in the Holy Spirit, and also in-dwell us; praise God, He is Ebenezer, who always keep us, reserve an inheritance in heaven for us, make ready the salvation to be revealed in the last time, and prove our faith as genuine; praise God, He accomplished all in Christ, so that Christ is all and in all!

1 Timothy 1:12-17

12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,

13 although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.

15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

16 However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.

17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.

As long as we believe Him, there is none whom God cannot save. Even Paul, who was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor and an insolent man, obtained mercy and salvation after being enlightened by God, let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace through Jesus, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Praise God, He demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us; praise God, it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes; praise God, He called us into the ministry, chosen us to royal priesthood, and to become Word-incarnated witnesses of Christ Jesus for people to come; praise God, to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever!

Hebrews 2:5-10

5 For He has not put the world to come, of which we speak, in subjection to angels.

6 But one testified in a certain place, saying:

      "What is man that You are mindful of him,
      Or the son of man that You take care of him?

7 You have made him a little lower than the angels;
      You have crowned him with glory and honor,
      And set him over the works of Your hands.

8 You have put all things in subjection under his feet."

      For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him.

9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.

10 For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.

God has made everything beautiful in its time, but sin entered the world, so all fell short of the glory of God. The Bible clearly tells us that no one is able to free himself from the bondage of sin. God has prepared to restore His initially created order and goodness in the forthcoming new heaven and new earth. Genesis recorded that God's original plan in creating Adam is for men to have dominion over His creation. However, till now, we do not yet see all things put in subjection under him: the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs until now, eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God, hoping for deliverance from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us as Jesus, He tasted death for everyone, and paid the ransom. One day, He will bring all people born again as children of God into glory, presiding as captain of salvation, and the firstborn among many brethren! Praise God, He overcame sin, death and the enemy; praise God, He caused the last Adam, i.e. Jesus Christ, to complete God's will not finished by the first Adam; praise God, His way of salvation is amazing, when we are in Christ, we have everything, because Christ is all and in all!

Psalm 148:1-14

1 Praise the LORD!

      Praise the LORD from the heavens;
      Praise Him in the heights!

2 Praise Him, all His angels;
      Praise Him, all His hosts!

3 Praise Him, sun and moon;
      Praise Him, all you stars of light!

4 Praise Him, you heavens of heavens,
      And you waters above the heavens!

5 Let them praise the name of the LORD,
      For He commanded and they were created.

6 He also established them forever and ever;
      He made a decree which shall not pass away.

7 Praise the LORD from the earth,
      You great sea creatures and all the depths;

8 Fire and hail, snow and clouds;
      Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;

9 Mountains and all hills;
      Fruitful trees and all cedars;

10 Beasts and all cattle;
      Creeping things and flying fowl;

11 Kings of the earth and all peoples;
      Princes and all judges of the earth;

12 Both young men and maidens;
      Old men and children.

13 Let them praise the name of the LORD,
      For His name alone is exalted;
      His glory is above the earth and heaven.

14 And He has exalted the horn of His people,
      The praise of all His saints -
      Of the children of Israel,
      A people near to Him.

      Praise the LORD!

Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light!

Not only men should praise the LORD, all creation from heaven to earth should praise the LORD! Men as created, no matter male or female, old or young, honorable or humble, all should praise the LORD. Lastly, God did an amazing thing - He exalted the horn of His people, i.e. all the saints who praise Him. Here we see a very beautiful picture: all things are created for the manifestation of the glory of God, so all, including men, should praise God, and in turn, God exalted the people He made covenant with and saved, therefore we should praise Him even more! Praise God, He created heaven and earth, and all that's within. He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. His power is incomparable; His wisdom is immeasurable. Praise God, if we don't praise Him, even the stones would immediately cry out. Praise God, He saved us, and clothed us with praises. Praise God, He keeps covenant and mercy with His people forever!

Psalm 146:1-10

      不要倚靠世人,
      他一點不能幫助。

4 他的氣一斷,就歸回塵土;
      他所打算的,當日就消滅了。

1 Praise the LORD!

      Praise the LORD, O my soul!

2 While I live I will praise the LORD;
      I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.

3 Do not put your trust in princes,
      Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.

4 His spirit departs, he returns to his earth;
      In that very day his plans perish.

5 Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help,
      Whose hope is in the LORD his God,

6 Who made the heaven and earth,
      The sea, and all that is in them;
      Who keeps truth forever,

7 Who executes justice for the oppressed,
      Who gives food to the hungry.
      The LORD gives freedom to the prisoners.

8 The LORD opens the eyes of the blind;
      The LORD raises those who are bowed down;
      The LORD loves the righteous.

9 The LORD watches over the strangers;
      He relieves the fatherless and widow;
      But the way of the wicked He turns upside down.

10 The LORD shall reign forever -
      Your God, O Zion, to all generations.

      Praise the LORD!

Do not put your trust in princes, nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; in that very day his plans perish.
Do not put your trust in princes, nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; in that very day his plans perish.

From Psalm 146 till the end of the book of Psalms, all psalms start and end with "praise the LORD", and are full of praises to God. The book of Psalms chose to end with praises, which expressed complete faith and hope towards God after going through everything in life. Let us learn how to truly praise God from these 5 psalms, instead of emptily repeating "praise God, thank God" without knowing what to praise Him nor what to thank Him. Praise God, He is the master of history: because the Most High rules in the kingdom of men; He is the king of kings and the lord of lords; even the king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, like the rivers of water, He turns it wherever He wishes. Praise God, He is the master of life: He kills and makes alive; He makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up, nobody can flee from His presence. Praise God, He is worthy of our waiting: even the youth shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Praise God, He is worthy of our trust: some trusts in chariots, and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the LORD our God; not by might nor by power, but by the Spirit of God. Praise God, He is full of righteousness and full of lovingkindness: He preached the gospel to the poor, proclaimed liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, set at liberty those who are oppressed, and proclaimed the acceptable year of the LORD. Praise God, He lives forever and reigns forever!

Psalm 139:17-24

      知道我的心思;
      試煉我,知道我的意念,

17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
      How great is the sum of them!

18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
      When I awake, I am still with You.

19 Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God!
      Depart from me, therefore, you bloodthirsty men.

20 For they speak against You wickedly;
      Your enemies take Your name in vain.

21 Do I not hate them, O LORD, who hate You?
      And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?

22 I hate them with perfect hatred;
      I count them my enemies.

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
      Try me, and know my anxieties;

24 And see if there is any wicked way in me,
      And lead me in the way everlasting.

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sane.
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand.

This paragraph follows the one yesterday, together they form the complete Psalm 139. You are recommended to read the whole psalm together.

God is so omniscient and omnipresent that He has searched me and known me. Instead of fleeing from His presence, which is impossible, the psalmist David understands how precious are God's thoughts, and how great is the sum of them. Being in God's presence necessitates loving what God loves, and hating what God hates. Lastly, the psalmist asked God to reveal if he still harbors any secret faults, in order to walk well in the way everlasting. Praise God, His thoughts toward us are thoughts of peace and not of evil; praise God, He let the mind be in us which was also in Christ Jesus, and let us see the world through the eyes of Him; praise God, if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness; praise God, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, and He leads us in the way everlasting!

Psalm 139:1-16

      祢從遠處知道我的意念;

      按手在我身上。

6 這樣的知識奇妙,是我不能測的;
      至高,是我不能及的。

      我往哪裏逃躲避祢的面?

8 我若升到天上,祢在那裏;
      我若在陰間下榻,祢也在那裏。

      飛到海極居住;

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

1 O LORD, You have searched me and known me,

2 You know my sitting down and my rising up;
      You understand my thought afar off.

3 You comprehend my path and my lying down,
      And are acquainted with all my ways.

4 For there is not a word on my tongue,
      But behold, O LORD, You know it altogether.

5 You have hedged me behind and before,
      And laid Your hand upon me.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
      It is high, I cannot attain it.

7 Where can I go from Your Spirit?
      Or where can I flee from Your presence?

8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
      If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.

9 If I take the wings of the morning,
      And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,

10 Even there Your hand shall lead me,
      And Your right hand shall hold me.

11 If I say, "Surely the darkness shall fall on me,"
      Even the night shall be light about me;

12 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You,
      But the night shines as the day;
      The darkness and the light are both alike to You.

13 For You formed my inward parts;
      You covered me in my mother's womb.

14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
      Marvelous are Your works,
      And that my soul knows very well.

15 My frame was not hidden from You,
      When I was made in secret,
      And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
      And in Your book they all were written,
      The days fashioned for me,
      When as yet there were none of them.

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb.

When the psalmist David wrote this psalm, he seems to have thought of fleeing from God's presence, but praise God, our God is omniscient and omnipresent, all things including our thoughts are open in front of Him. After Adam and Eve sinned, they hid themselves behind a fig tree, but sooner or later they had to confront God; likewise all have sinned, were originally destined for the lake of fire and brimstone, living in the world without hope, but praise God, Jesus came to seek and to save those that are lost, for God does not want any to perish but that all should come to repentance. He said, if one out of a hundred sheep is lost, He would put down the 99 to find the lost one: praise God, my shepherd knows my voice, He is going to bring us back even if we are at the ends of the world; praise God, His eyes run to and fro throughout the whole earth, nothing could be concealed from Him, even things done in secret. He formed us, and knows our days; He loves us, even counted our hairs, therefore praise God, He receives us in our current state, and gives us more abundant life!

Psalm 113:1-9

      耶和華的名是應當讚美的!

4 耶和華超乎萬民之上;
      祂的榮耀高過諸天。

1 Praise the LORD!

      Praise, O servants of the LORD,
      Praise the name of the LORD!

2 Blessed be the name of the LORD
      From this time forth and forevermore!

3 From the rising of the sun to its going down
      The LORD’s name is to be praised.

4 The LORD is high above all nations,
      His glory above the heavens.

5 Who is like the LORD our God,
      Who dwells on high,

6 Who humbles Himself to behold
      The things that are in the heavens and in the earth?

7 He raises the poor out of the dust,
      And lifts the needy out of the ash heap,

8 That He may seat him with princes —
      With the princes of His people.

9 He grants the barren woman a home,
      Like a joyful mother of children.

      Praise the LORD!

From the rising of the sun to its going down, The LORD’s name is to be praised.
From the rising of the sun to its going down, The LORD’s name is to be praised.

Our God is above all nations. He beholds things in heaven and on earth from high above, and knows every matter that comes to us - even when it floods, the LORD still sits enthroned as the King. However, He is not a spectator, rather, He is the master of history. Whether the poor, the needy or the princes, they all bow down under His authority: He humbles people and He exalts people. God is willing to bless people in hardship, so let us be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, present our requests to God. By faith Sarah became pregnant and gave birth to Isaac when she was 90 years old, from which came God's chosen people the Israelites; Hannah poured out her soul to the LORD in prayer, and gave birth to Samuel, who was God's vessel to revive a generation of people; Mary submitted to God's word, and gave birth to Jesus, who is the center of the whole redemption plan of God! Praise God, there is not a single person whom God cannot save and use; praise God, there is not a single thing that God cannot accomplish. At whatever time and in whatever place, the name of the LORD is to be praised - let us praise God at all times and in all places!

Psalm 112:1-10

      正直人的後代必要蒙福。

3 他家中有貨物,有錢財;
      他的公義存到永遠!

      這人事情順利;
      他被審判的時候,
      要訴明自己的冤。

      賙濟貧窮;
      他的仁義存到永遠。
      他的角必被高舉,大有榮耀。

      必咬牙而消化;
      惡人的心願要歸滅絕。
1 Praise the LORD!

      Blessed is the man who fears the LORD,
      Who delights greatly in His commandments.

2 His descendants will be mighty on earth;
      The generation of the upright will be blessed.

3 Wealth and riches will be in his house,
      And his righteousness endures forever.

4 Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness;
      He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

5 A good man deals graciously and lends;
      He will guide his affairs with discretion.

6 Surely he will never be shaken;
      The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.

7 He will not be afraid of evil tidings;
      His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.

8 His heart is established;
      He will not be afraid,
      Until he sees his desire upon his enemies.

9 He has dispersed abroad,
      He has given to the poor,
      His righteousness endures forever;
      His horn will be exalted with honor.

10 The wicked will see it and be grieved;
      He will gnash his teeth and melt away;
      The desire of the wicked shall perish.

Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

The scripture yesterday praises God directly, the one today is structurally identical to the one yesterday, and continues to praise God through His blessings to the righteous. It is recommended that you read both psalms together.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments. God remembers and blesses the upright, first of all by calling him righteous, so that his righteousness can endure forever, because all other blessings stem from it. God not only gives us sunlight, rain, air and food, He also forsook His beloved Son Jesus; the righteous also imitates God, by dispersing abroad his wealth and riches, giving to the poor, and dealing graciously, practicing "it is more blessed to give than to receive". Praise God, we were dead in trespasses and sins, yet He made us alive, gracious, full of compassion and righteous; praise God, He is our satisfaction, so we are content in whatever state we are, and deal graciously; praise God, the peace of the Lord is in my heart, I shall never be shaken, whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to know, it is well with my soul; praise God, He shows mercy to thousands of generations to those who love Him and keep His commandments!

Psalm 111:1-10

      我要在正直人的大會中,
      並公會中,
      一心稱謝耶和華。

2 耶和華的作為本為大;
      凡喜愛的都必考察。

3 祂所行的是尊榮和威嚴;
      祂的公義存到永遠。

      使人記念;
      耶和華有恩惠,有憐憫。

5 祂賜糧食給敬畏祂的人;
      祂必永遠記念祂的約。

      把外邦的地賜給他們為業。

7 祂手所行的是誠實公平;
      祂的訓詞都是確實的,

      命定祂的約,直到永遠;
      祂的名聖而可畏。

10 敬畏耶和華是智慧的開端;
      凡遵行祂命令的是聰明人。
      耶和華是永遠當讚美的!
1 Praise the LORD!

      I will praise the LORD with my whole heart,
      In the assembly of the upright and in the congregation.

2 The works of the LORD are great,
      Studied by all who have pleasure in them.

3 His work is honorable and glorious,
      And His righteousness endures forever.

4 He has made His wonderful works to be remembered;
      The LORD is gracious and full of compassion.

5 He has given food to those who fear Him;
      He will ever be mindful of His covenant.

6 He has declared to His people the power of His works,
      In giving them the heritage of the nations.

7 The works of His hands are verity and justice;
      All His precepts are sure.

8 They stand fast forever and ever,
      And are done in truth and uprightness.

9 He has sent redemption to His people;
      He has commanded His covenant forever:
      Holy and awesome is His name.

10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
      A good understanding have all those who do His commandments.
      His praise endures forever.

He has sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever: holy and awesome is His name.

The psalmist praised God through His various works. We should also ponder the works of God, to know Him deeper, and to exalt Him more, because since the creation of the world, God's eternal power and divine nature could be understood from what have been made. God not just creates, He also provides our daily needs, sustaining all things by His word, and preparing inheritance for us in Christ. God not just provides, He also guides us on the path of righteousness with His precepts and His covenants. God not just guides, He also sends redemption, redeeming us with His precious blood, and giving us eternal life. Praise God, for His creation is marvelous and awesome; praise God, for His provision is faithful and dependable; praise God, for His guidance is just and sure; praise God, for His work of redemption lasts forever, and His precious blood is always effective!

Psalm 103:1-13

A Psalm of David.

1 Bless the LORD, O my soul;
      And all that is within me, bless His holy name!

2 Bless the LORD, O my soul,
      And forget not all His benefits:

3 Who forgives all your iniquities,
      Who heals all your diseases,

4 Who redeems your life from destruction.
      Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
      So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

6 The LORD executes righteousness
      And justice for all who are oppressed.

7 He made known His ways to Moses,
      His acts to the children of Israel.

8 The LORD is merciful and gracious,
      Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.

9 He will not always strive with us,
      Nor will He keep His anger forever.

10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins.
      Nor punished us according to our iniquities.

11 For as the heavens are high above the earth,
      So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;

12 As far as the east is from the west,
      So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

13 As a father pities his children,
      So the LORD pities those who fear Him.

He satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
He satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

The psalmist David did not include a single supplication in this psalm. Everything is praise from the beginning to the end, which sprang forth from the depth of his inner soul, and finished in one breathe, declaring the works of God, and praising his virtues. Our praises should also spring out from the bottom of our hearts, counting His blessings, and praising His holy name. Praise God, He is righteous - He executes justice for all who are oppressed, and He gave out decrees and commandments to His people; praise God, His mercy is high as the heavens - He saved us from sins, and removed our transgressions from us; praise God, He is the only one who can truly satisfy us, and He crowned the days of our lives with mercy and blessings; praise God, He becomes Father who pities us, and we become His children who fear Him!

Philippians 3:7-14

7 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.

8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ

9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;

10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His suffering, being conformed to His death,

11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.

13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,

14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

The kingdom of God is like treasure hidden in earth, when man finds it, he sells everything in order to possess it. When Paul knows Christ, he found that nothing can compare with Christ. All wills of God towards us have to do with Christ. God has also put all the fullness in Christ. We are saved in Christ, being built together in Christ, and receive rewards together in Christ. If we have fellowship with Christ in His suffering, and conform to His death, then we will resurrect with Christ, and receive the righteousness which is from God by faith. Praise God, He is the rose of Sharon, the lily of the valleys, more beautiful and more precious than all things; praise God, He gave us the righteousness which is through faith in Christ, and clothed us with the robe of righteousness; praise God, He has great power to resurrect from the dead, and He will lead us in our resurrection from the dead too; praise God, He rewards those who seek Him, and calls us in Christ Jesus to receive His indestructible prize!

Philippians 2:5-16

5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,

6 who, being in the form of God,
      did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,

7 but made Himself of no reputation,
      taking the form of a bondservant,
      and coming in the likeness of men.

8 And being found in appearance as a man,
      He humbled Himself
      and became obedient to the point of death,
      even the death of the cross.

9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him
      and given Him the name which is above every name,

10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
      of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,

11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
      to the glory of God the Father.

12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;

13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

14 Do all things without complaining and disputing,

15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

16 holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.

And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

When people in the world are diligently climbing upward, the Bible tells us in contrary that humility and obedience is the true way. Jesus set the best example for us: He forsook His throne, descended from heaven, and became obedient to the point of death; yet God exalted Him to the highest. Obedience is often a difficult lesson, but Paul gave us hope, because it is God who works in us both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Let us obey God, do not grumble and do not dispute, and become harmless and blameless. Praise God, He paid our ransom on the cross, that we are reconciled to God, and become children of God without fault; praise God, all those in heaven, on earth and under the earth should confess that Jesus is the Lord, and should bow down before Him; praise God, He works in us, that we may both will and do for His good pleasure, and shine as lights in the world; praise God, may all the glory be to Him!

Romans 11:33-36; 12:1-2

33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

34 “For who has known the mind of the LORD?
      Or who has become His counselor?”

35 “Or who has first given to Him
      And it shall be repaid to him?”

36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

For who has known the mind of the LORD?
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

阿門!This scripture is an apex of Romans. After Paul discussed how God made His salvation available from the Israelites to the Gentiles, and finally all Israel will be saved, he cannot help but to exclaim that the wisdom and knowledge of God is so rich and unsearchable, therefore he offered heartfelt praise to God. Towards God the Most High, it is reasonable for us to present our hearts and bodies for Him to use. Praise God, His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts than our thoughts, nobody is qualified to offer Him any counseling; praise God, He is an all-sufficient God, He owes nobody, and all that we have originates from His freely given grace; praise God, He is alpha, without Him nothing was made that has been made; praise God, He is omega, when the times will have reached their fulfillment, He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth - in Him; praise God, through Him are all things, for He upholds all things by the word of His power; praise God, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Romans 8:28-39

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

33 Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.

34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 As it is written:
      "For Your sake we are killed all day long;
      we are accounted as sheep for the slaughters."

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,

39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created things, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.

Throughout history, God often purifies His church with persecution and tribulation. For us who live in freedom, faith often degenerates into an ornament; but for brothers and sisters in many parts of the world, it takes the price of life to follow God. Paul pointed out that all things, including persecution and tribulation, work together under the sovereignty of God for good, i.e. laying hold of Christ, to those who love God. If we suffer with Christ, we shall also be glorified with Him; if we unite with Him in the image of His death, we shall also be united with Him in the image of His resurrection. God gave His Son Christ Jesus to us, He also freely gave us all things in Christ, because all things are under Christ's feet. As the mainstream culture of today's society drifts away from, and starts to oppose Christianity, we will endure more and more persecution. Remember to praise God in the midst of persecution, because He predestined us to conform to the image of Christ in persecution, and to lay hold of Christ! Praise God, He sat enthroned at the flood; praise God, He called us for good, i.e. the laying hold of Christ, as well as all the fullness in Christ; praise God, He will judge the world according to righteousness in the end time; praise God, nothing and nobody can separate us from His love; praise God, because in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us!
