Month of Praise 2014: (12-2) 弗 Ephesians 1:15-23

¹⁵ 因此，我既聽見你們信從主耶穌，親愛眾聖徒， ¹⁶ 就為你們不住地感謝　神，禱告的時候，常提到你們， ¹⁷ 求我們主耶穌基督的　神，榮耀的父，將那賜人智慧和啟示的靈賞給你們，使你們真知道祂。 ¹⁸ 並且照明你們心中的眼睛，使你們知道祂的恩召有何等指望；祂在聖徒中得的基業有何等豐盛的榮耀； ¹⁹ 並知道祂向我們這信的人所顯的能力是何等浩大， ²⁰ 就是照祂在基督身上所運行的大能大力，使祂從死裏復活，叫祂在天上坐在自己的右邊， ²¹ 遠超過一切執政的、掌權的、有能的、主治的和一切有名的，不但是今世的，連來世的也都超過了。 ²² 又將萬有服在祂的腳下，使祂為教會作萬有之首。 ²³ 教會是祂的身體，是那充滿萬有者所充滿的。	¹⁵ Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, ¹⁶ do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: ¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, ¹⁸ the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, ¹⁹ and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power ²⁰ which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. ²² And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, ²³ which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

¹⁵ Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,

¹⁶ do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

弗 Ephesians 1:23 教會是祂的身體，是那充滿萬有者所充滿的。 (The church) is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

這是保羅為以弗所教會眾聖徒獻上的禱告，巴不得他們真知道神，以及他們在基督裏所蒙的恩召與能力是何等浩大、令人振奮！讚美神，祂的靈賜人智慧與啟示，並不隱藏自己，讓我們能真知道祂；讚美神，祂的恩召是榮耀的、充滿盼望的；讚美神，祂向我們所顯的能力極其浩大，曾使基督從死裏復活、並升上高天；讚美神，祂賜基督遠超萬名之上的名，並將萬有伏在基督的腳下；讚美神，我們在教會裏也成了基督身體的一部份，於這一切的榮耀有份！

This is Paul's prayer for the saints in the Ephesian church, hoping that they truly know God, and the greatness and excitement of the calling they have received in Christ. Praise God, His Spirit gives wisdom and revelation - He does not hide Himself, so that we may truly know Him; praise God, His calling is glorious and full of hope; praise God, His power toward us is exceedingly great, so great that it raised Christ from the dead all the way to the heavenly places; praise God, He has given Christ a name that is above all other names, and subjected all things under Christ; praise God, in church we become part of the body of Christ, and partake in all these glories!
